Visual artist, comic author and cartoonist.

Understanding comics as a vessel for multiple formats and media, Iván McGill experiments through his work with a blend of languages—animation, video games, and illustration—to address new paradigms like digital identity, dataism, and information overload. For Iván, experimental comics serve as both a starting point and meeting ground to represent realities in constant transformation.

He is the co-founder of the narrative studio Shaman Garage, co-creator of the collective publication Búnker24, and a member of the organizing team for the independent comic festival GRAF. Awarded the Cómic Barcelona grant for emerging talents in 2023, his work has been showcased in independent comics and transmedia festivals both nationally and internationally through exhibitions, talks and workshops.
